Resume tips for neurodivergent adults

Focus on:

  • Tasks you know how to do
  • Environments you work best in
  • What you are reliable with

That is enough.

You do not need fancy words or buzzwords.
Clear, simple language is professional.

Short sentences are okay.
Lists are okay.
Clarity matters more than style.

A resume with clear sections is easier for everyone to read.

Helpful sections:

  • Skills
  • Experience
  • Education or training

You don’t need long paragraphs.
Bullet points are perfectly fine.

Things like:

  • preferring routines
  • liking clear instructions
  • working better independently or quietly

These are strengths, not weaknesses.

You don’t have to finish a resume in one sitting.
Take breaks.
Come back later.
